The Chainsmokers Are Ready To Try New Things More Than Ever To Change Up Their Music

Written by on September 6, 2018

For the past several years, the Chainsmokers have been steadily rising in the music industry, becoming one of the biggest DJ production teams in the world today. Alex Pall and Andrew Taggart of the Chainsmokers are always trying to think of new sounds to introduce to their fans, which is why they have continually worked on new music since 2015. Just last month, the Chainsmokers released their latest hit, Side Effects, which has more of a disco feel to, setting it apart from anything else they have produced in the past.

Compared to their past hits in the dance genre, the Chainsmokers latest music has been much more mellow and focused than it has been in the past. Side Effects, just like Sick Boy which was released at the beginning of the year, is a new creation by the Chainsmokers. This new song is a test of the Chainsmokers creative ability and the evolution as artists in their field. Anyone who has at least listened to the Chainsmokers in the past are accustomed to their party vibes and electronic beats, but they have been focused on a whole new aspect of their music than just the beat

The Chainsmokers latest music is also focused on telling a story and being more related to their fans. You Owe Me and Sick Boy represented a much darker setting and a serious message to convey to listeners, setting a tone for the Chainsmokers new music. More than anything, the Chainsmokers are trying to reflect whats going on in the world as well as their lives in the music industry through their music.

Alex and Andrew like to build their inspiration from their daily lives, which is why they enjoy traveling and focus on the memorable experiences and small moments to draw from. Although much of the music they write features a relationship of some kind, they like to be impulsive and explore their writing as it comes to them to sound as original as possible.
