Yanni Hufnagel, the coach turned entrepreneur, was born on the 26th of August 1982 and brought up in a town in New York called Scarsdale. He kick-started his career as a coach with the New Jersey Nets as an intern. Later, he worked as a graduate assistant coach for the Sooners basketball team for men and earned a postgraduate degree in Adult and Higher Education with a major in “Intercollegiate Athletics Administration” at the University of Oklahoma. Hufnagel worked as the assisting coach for the Harvard Crimson program for men in 2009, Vanderbilt Commodores in 2013, and the University of Nevada Wolf Pack basketball team for men in 2016.

Later in 2017, Yanni Hufnagel was inspired to create an enhanced flavored lemon water brand named Lemon Perfect. His inspiration struck when a store owner sent him recipes for lemon water in a draft of a book on the Keto diet and later saw his players consuming Bai in the locker room. The company’s Lemon Perfect brand received a viral boost after a spontaneous appearance of the ‘Dragon Fruit Mango bottle’ in Beyoncé’s limo in her Instagram post in January 2020. The singer turned out to be a genuine fan of the brand and also invested in the company. Since then, Lemon Perfect has grown into a successful business that caters to the growing demand for healthy bottled water and competes with drinks like Vitamin Water and Bai. Later in 2020, the company attracted numerous investors and raised $11.6 million in funding. The flavored lemon water brand has an excellent taste and is healthy.
